Vasco Shipping Services, S.l. belongs to VASCO and was created in year 2000 to represent exclusively the Chinese Shipping company COSCO, with whom the Group was collaborating since 1991.
Vasco Shipping , with offices in Bilbao (Head Office) and Vigo, represents to Cosco Shipping in the North of Spain, and in addition in Canary Islands, Mauritania plus Cape Verde through its subsidiary Cosvas Atlantic (with local central office in Las Palmas).
After the merge between China Ocean Shipping (Cosco) and China Shipping Group, Vasco Shipping is also partner of Cosco Shipping Lines Spain (central office in Barcelona) general agent of COSCO SHIPPING in Spain and Portugal, and partner of Cosco Shipping Lines Central Europe (central office in Prague), general agent form Cosco Shipping in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary and Slovenia.
Cosco Shipping Group is now one of the giants of the shipping business, owning and operating more than 1.318 vessels of all types and sizes, with a total deadweight capacity of over 104 million DWT. The Container Fleet ranks the fourth in the world with more than 3 million Teus of capacity.
Vasco Shipping Services is specialized in the transport of reefer and awkward cargos, having also a strong presence in automotive sector.
